7 New TV Shows and Movies to Watch With Your Pet

i hate my puppy

It can be a challenging month. The holiday season is over, but the cold temperatures and grey skies persist, and you're trying to determine how you and your pet will keep you entertained until spring arrives.

After you've exhausted all the winter outdoor activities with your pet and have even played indoor games even though it's cold enough to take a walk, curl up for a movie evening in the living room with your pet. Watch one of these new films or shows. And remember the popcorn.

A few of the films and shows listed below are based on animals (or the wild animal), but some don't; however, we're sure pets will always be happy enough to enjoy playing with their pet on the couch, no matter what's on. These are the seven new movies and shows scheduled to stream on our favourite streaming services this month.

Netflix

Dog Gone

Date of release: January. 13

A true story Dog Gone follows a man and his son on a quest to track down their dog lost along the Appalachian Trail. Be sure that your dog is right next to you when watching this film. You'll have to offer them plenty of kisses and pet hugs throughout the film.

That '90s Show, Season 1

Date of release: January. 19

The show does not have any pets, so how do we not have this highly anticipated revival of the show? Your pet will continue snuggling up with you on the sofa as you enjoy as much of the show as you want in one go. I'll watch to catch adult Donna, Eric, Fez, Kelso, and Jackie and hope that this revival can do justice to my favourite decade.

Hulu

How I Met Your Father, Season 2

Release date: January. 24

The spin-off series from How I Met Your Mother returns for a second season, which will have 20 episodes this time. It is about Hilary Duff and her friends who navigate the modern world of 30somethings with hints to the original show.

HBO Max

Velma

Date of release: January. 12

Mindy Kaling's Scooby-Doo spin-off Velma is an adult-focused version of the group's high-school period (before they were annoying kids). While we've heard that the show won't feature Scooby-Doo as a principal persona, we're waiting for a guest appearance or a nod to the famed Great Dane.

Apple TV+

Servant, Season 4

I'm not a fan of scary movies and shows and will likely take this one off my list. However, if you enjoy the psychological horror genre, having pets watching the show with you is a great idea.

Peacock

Poker Face

Date of release: Jan. 26

A new detective series? This is one that I will most definitely be watching. The show is about Charlie, the woman who can discern who is lying, which makes her the perfect character to solve a crime every week. Since it's the work of the producer of Knives Out and Glass Onion, I'm hoping for the best for this show.
