This antivirus plan will offer you basic features like a malware scanner and RAM booster. But this program may not protect you from new and advanced malware. For better protection, you should get a premium antivirus program. Premium programs offer a wide range of functions. Many antivirus programs have real-time security features. Get a firewall
For all internet users, you should get a good firewall for your device. New systems usually have an inbuilt firewall. But the inbuilt firewall may not detect all threats. You should get a personal firewall for your device. A firewall is available in both types: software and hardware. You can get the firewall software and secure your device. Once you enable the firewall, it creates a layer of protection over the network. It starts checking all the incoming and outgoing traffic. If any harmful data packet appears, it immediately removes it and protects the network. Many firewalls also check outgoing traffic. What to do when a security program is not working?
If your security device like antivirus is not working then you should immediately look for a solution. Without security, your device becomes vulnerable to threats. Repair your antivirus and secure your device.
Inspect the registry files
If McAfee cannot communicate with the scan service then check for the registry files. You can get the error when some registry gets corrupted. These files are necessary to find the correct path. Without these files, your antivirus won’t scan the device. Open the registry editor of your device and start searching for corrupted files. Repair those files and then restart your device. Check for junk files
Your antivirus program can show errors when your device has lots of junk files. These junk files are not malicious but can interrupt your processes. Check for security application
Your antivirus can show errors when you are using multiple antivirus programs on a single device. Using multiple security programs on one device will not increase security as it can cause more problems. When a virus appears on the system; both programs try to access the same resource and start conflicting. You should use only one security program on a system. Go to the Devices folder and check for all applications; remove other security apps from the device. You should also remove the expired security applications. Now delete all the related files from the device. Restart the PC and run a full system scan.
